Art project

1. This is a Korean traditional cloth call Hanbok. We wear this like just any other normal cloth. Characteristic of Hanbok is the colors are beautiful and its really feel comfortable when you wear this. Today, we only wear this in special holiday such as new year.

2. Hanbok is very colorful and it it's beautiful cloth. But it's not that famous and I think the Hanbok is represent Korea's characteristic. Because I never saw cloth like Hanbok. It is the thing that 100% from Korea.

3. After I sketch with the pencil, colored in water color. I was running out of time so I used color pencil little bit. The color tone was shade. It was hard when I was using the water color because the drawing was very detail.

Hanbok is very colorful and it it's beautiful cloth and it represent me one of the history of Korea. I used the actual texture for this project. I used shade value in this draw. Hanbok is made with primary palette.  This is used by move, eat form because it's cloth. This draw is second demensional because it's just flat. It is a character line. But the color was little bit away from Hanbok. Hanbok has many simple and clear colors. But I don't feel like I failed at this. And if we are doing this project again, I won't be change the making. Because I really like Hanbok and I want let you know. I learned that simple color is really pretty and beautiful. Through this art project.

Daily sketch 10/20/14

3 questions for projects

Originally this artwork is called Monalisa and made by Leonardo Da Vinci in 1950's. In the Monalisa, the woman doesn't have eye brows. Nobody knows that he did on purpose or it's just accident. I recreated as modern style so that's why she wear I love New York t shirt and buildings on the background.
Reason why I choose this artwork is there is many theories of eyebrows and that makes me interest. There is many theories, some of them says there is UFO in the artwork, reason why he didn't draw her eyebrow is she was sop pretty and da Vinci was looking at her all the time so he forgot to draw her eyebrows. Also Monalisa came out in 1950's so I wanted to recreated in modern style. Monalisa is famous artwork, you probably seen this before and every time I see this I thought what if she has eyebrows or if she was Asian?
I sketch with my pencil first, and the concept is its drawing of me draw a new Monalisa ( Monalisa in modern style). And I used black color pencil for buildings on a backgrounds with the yellow window. I colored Monalisa's shirt white and black letters. Also color pencil. I was gonna use only pencil because every art project that I made was pretty good but after I colored most of artwork was failed. But this project is a color project artist assignment so I added color pencil.

1. Reason why I choose this is I have seen this many times and also there is some of mystery too so I had many ideas of this artwork. Monalisa symbolized world to me. Because there is mystery that people can't find it forever

2. Most of color in this artwork is black, because I was trying to represent New York City in the night. And i also changed the colors

3. I used monochromatic for this assignment. It's shade, I focused on Monadlisa's shade and make it in detail.
